Let the good times roll! The festive spirit and flavor of the Big Easy is coming to the Bay Area! The 49th Millbrae Art & Wine Festival, The Last Blast of Summer, coming up August 31 & September 1, is the Bay Area’s biggest Labor Day weekend event with huge crowds transforming the city into a fantastically fun Mardi Gras-style celebration featuring two sun-splashed days of live music on stage and street throughout downtown, Art Explosion – a juried show with 250 professional artists and craftmakers showing their latest handcrafted wares, fabulous food and drink with premium wine, refreshing sangria, tasty seasonal craft beer, fresh-fruit margaritas, Bloody Mary’s and Summer Breeze Mules – the signature craft cocktail, Hops Haven microbrew tent, the Classically Cool Car Show, Cornhole game area, Stay Cool Misting Tent, plus Savory City artisan specialty food purveyors, tons of fun for kids with the Streets Filled With Talent Music & Dance Showcase plus an ultra thrilling zip-line soaring over Broadway, wild and wacky waterballerz, exciting thrill rides, 100-foot Super Slide, and an abundance of amazing amusements for kids in Playland, T-Mobile Showroom and Recharging Station, sweet sponsor swag giveaways and free samples of White Claw Hard Seltzer; an organic and green products showcase, home and garden exhibits, health and wellness displays. Ride Caltrain, SamTrans or BART to the festival – you’re dropped off a short walk away! Festival admission is free. Presented by the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce.

Stellar Live Music and Entertainment Everywhere … get ready – the greatest two days of live music Millbrae has ever experienced is coming with eleven big-name bands playing an eclectic mix of music non-stop on stage and street throughout downtown. The dynamite lineup on the Kona Brewing/Michelob Ultra Millbrae Totally Rocks Concert Stage includes Chicago the Tribute, Big Bang Beat, The Flaming O’s, Busta-Groove, Erica Sunshine Lee, Sol Peligro, Millbrae Pep Squad, Loudin’ Cleer, plus amazing street musicians Bob Culbertson, Stephen Dreyfuss and EllaHarp.

Art Explosion – Fine Art & Cool Crafts ... 250 professional artists and craftmakers show original work in wood, leather, ceramics, metal, textiles, graphics, glass, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, photography, watercolor and oil painting, and clothing.

Streets Filled With Talent Stage … sensational young performers strut their showstopping music and dance in this Millbrae’s Got Talent-style showcase.

Craft beer lovers will be in Hops Heaven with the world-class draft brews from Kona Brewing Company – their crisp, easy-going, pale-gold Longboard Lager, hoppy, easy-drinking Hanalei Island IPA, and tropically refreshing Big Wave Golden Ale, plus low-carb, easy drinking Michelob Ultra. For aficionados of fine wine, sangria and bubbly, there will be a premium selection of easy-drinking varietals from California: Mondavi Woodbridge Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and White Zinfandel, Kenwood Chardonnay, Concannon Pinot Noir, plus Beso del Sol Sangria and Cupcake Prosecco. Hops Haven, a shaded oasis to sit down and take a break, returns to host a Microbrew Tasting Tent featuring delicious seasonal brews from several of the top craft brewers in the world: Revision Citra Revenge, Stone Tropic of Thunder, Magnolia Station 12 Red Ale, Modern Times Fruitlands Rose, Speakeasy Helles to the Chief, Fremont Brother Imperial IPA, Lagunitas Phase Change IPA, and Deschutes Da Shootz Lager.

Savory City - Artisan Specialty Food ... an array of artisan-produced specialty food sprinkled throughout the event provides the perfect opportunity to sample and purchase small-batch, handcrafted edibles.
